WA1 Is Your Child’s First Graded Assessment in Sec 3
Your child has been in POA class for a few weeks now. They come home, say it’s “okay,” and life continues.
But here’s what many parents don’t realise until it’s too late:
Sec 3 POA moves fast. By the time WA1 arrives in Week 6-7, schools have already covered Chapters 1 through 4. That’s a lot of new concepts in a short time.
And unlike other subjects, POA builds on itself. Every new chapter assumes your child understood the previous one. If there’s a gap in the foundation, it doesn’t just affect WA1 — it compounds through every assessment that follows.
The students who struggle in Sec 4 aren’t the ones who “can’t do POA.” They’re the ones who had small gaps in Sec 3 that never got addressed.
WA1 is more than just a test. It’s a checkpoint.
A strong result tells your child: “I’ve got this. I understand how POA works.” A weak result often starts a cycle of self-doubt that’s hard to reverse.
The good news? There’s still time to prepare — if you act now.
“The Problem Is Not Having the Right Foundation”
“I was failing POA — getting F9s. But after joining Master POA, I started scoring consistent As. Looking back, I realised the problem for most students is they don’t have strong basics. Once I understood the foundation, everything else clicked.”
— Andrea, Master POA Student
Andrea’s story is common. Most struggling students aren’t “bad at POA” — they just have gaps in their foundation that were never addressed.
Introducing: WA1 Preparation Lessons
2 Focused Sessions. Exactly What’s Tested. Live Feedback.
WA1 Preparation Lessons are designed for one purpose: to help your child feel prepared and confident before their first graded POA assessment.
This isn’t a crash course trying to cover everything. It’s targeted revision on Chapters 3 and 4 — the core topics tested in WA1 — with real exam-style practice and live feedback.
Your child won’t just “go through the motions.” They’ll actively work through questions, see where they stand, and get guidance on exactly what to fix before the test.
Why This Works:
Most students revise by re-reading notes or watching videos passively. That’s not enough for POA.
In our lessons, students use an interactive platform to annotate their own work while Caleb marks and explains in real time. They don’t just hear what’s right — they see their own mistakes corrected on the spot.

Meet Your Child’s Tutor
Caleb Ho
Founder, Master Principles of Accounts
Caleb has spent the last 16 years helping students understand POA — not just memorise it.
He’s taught over 1,200 students, written the Master POA Study Guide (available at Popular bookstores), and served as Lead Curator for TEDx Singapore.
His teaching philosophy is simple: POA is a language. Once you understand the logic behind it, the subject becomes predictable. Most students struggle because they’re taught to memorise steps without understanding why.
In Caleb’s lessons, students learn to think like accountants — which means they can handle any question, not just the ones they’ve seen before.
What Students & Parents Say
“Under Mr Caleb’s guidance, I scored 83% for my POA WA1. I am very happy to have met Mr Caleb to be my POA teacher.”
— Kenny Lim, St Hilda’s Secondary School
“My hubs watched the videos as well and he said your explanation is very clear. My hubs is not the type who is easily impressed.”
— Tricia Eng, Mother of Xander

Q: What exactly is covered in the WA1 Revision Lessons?
We focus on Chapters 3 and 4, which are the typical scope for Sec 3 WA1. The lessons are exam preparation — your child will work through real WA1-style questions and receive live marking and feedback. This is targeted revision and application, not concept teaching.
Q: My child is struggling with earlier chapters. Will this still help?
Our WA1 Revision Lessons are focused specifically on exam preparation for Chapters 3 and 4. If your child requires foundational support for earlier topics, contact us to find out more about our Double Entry Basics course.
Q: How do I register?
Registration happens in two steps. First, join our Telegram channel and vote for your preferred lesson dates. Once the poll closes and dates are confirmed, we’ll send you the registration link to secure your child’s spot.
Q: Why do I need to vote first before registering?
We want to schedule lessons at times that work for the most families. By voting first, you help us choose the best dates. Once confirmed, registration opens and you can secure your spot.
Q: How are the lessons conducted?
Lessons are live and online via an interactive web-based platform (not Zoom). Students can annotate their work on screen while Caleb marks and explains in real time. No camera or microphone needed — students participate via chat and the annotation tools.
Q: What device does my child need?
A laptop, desktop, or tablet with a stable internet connection. Chrome browser is recommended. No downloads or special software required.
Q: Will there be a tech orientation?
Yes. The first lesson includes a full walkthrough of the platform, so your child won’t feel lost or stressed about the technology.
Q: What if my child can’t attend a lesson?
All lessons are recorded and available in your student portal until 31 October 2026. Your child can catch up anytime.
Q: When are the lessons held?
Lesson dates are determined by a poll in our Telegram channel. Lessons are typically scheduled for Week 5-6, before WA1 in Week 6-7. Exact dates are confirmed after the poll closes, and registration opens immediately after.
Q: How do I know this will work for my child?
Every student is different, and we can’t promise specific results. What we can promise is targeted practice on exactly what WA1 tests, with live feedback from a tutor who has taught POA for 16 years to over 1,200 students. Many parents tell us their child felt noticeably more confident after just two sessions.
Q: What is the Study Guide add-on?
The Master POA Study Guide is written by our team and available at Popular bookstores for $27. At checkout, you can add it for $19 — an $8 discount. It’s a comprehensive resource your child can use throughout Sec 3 and 4.
Q: Is there a refund policy?
We do not offer refunds. However, since all lessons are recorded, your child won’t miss any content even if they can’t attend live. Please ensure you’re committed before registering.
